Ford Assembly Plant

As we drive through Oakville, you can see the assembly plant headquarters for Ford Canada. Ford was established in Michigan in 1900 and is one of the first ones to manufacture an automobile, along with Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and Mercedes around the same time in Germany, Ford is credited with being the first company to develop and use an assembly line mode of production. In 1902, Henry Ford filed for bankruptcy protection. With small beginnings and difficulty, there's a possibility of a great outcome. The Ford Focus has been the number one selling car globally the last few years following only the Toyota Camry. This is Ontario’s largest industry. GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, and others have large factories here.
